I just completed the Omega raid series. Two years late, I know. The series itself was okay. Loved the involvement of the dragons again. I still rank Alexander as my all time favorite raid series. But what prompted this post was the epilogue with Alpha.
Um...that legit tugged on my heartstrings.
The music (which I understand is from a previous FF game, chocobo dungeon?), Alpha running and seeing a brand new world for the first time, I just have to say...FFXIV is an amazing game. From top to bottom. It is not without its faults, but I get every penny's worth out of my sub each month. The writing, the characters, the production, it's just top notch. Heavensward and Shadowbringers alone are some of the best video games I've played period, but going back and doing some of these old raid series really sort of cements my opinion of it.
Eden and Copied Factory so far have been kind of so-so, if I'm being honest. But we still have one last tier for Eden so it could finish strong.
Anyway, I just had to share. I'm glad I made the switch to this game a couple years ago and I'm never looking back.
