Usually when I open up party finder, there is one thing I am interested in doing: HUNTS! I am trying to join a hunt train party or an S rank party.
But the PF menu will always load with the general tab, and I'll be slammed with a bunch of unrelated advertisements.
My friends who only do Savage or Extremes would probably prefer to have the High End duty tab load first.
It would be quite helpful if we could choose our own default tab when PF loads, instead of it being the general grouping one.
And since its individualized per user, and not a default for everyone, this would prevent the advertisers from all migrating to the same tab.
Add in:
- A settings button on Party Finder that opens a secondary window
- A combo box to select which of the Party Finder tabs should open when the window is first opened from the hot key or the menu
- An option to HIDE certain tabs completely for people who don't care about gold saucer or high end duties, or who want to block the 18+ advertisements discussed in that thread above
This would give the players agency to choose the Party Finder content they want to see first, and completely block out the PF content they don't care about. It could also improve performance and decrease load times on this window since the queries would only need to be performed on the tabs the user has unhidden.
