Since the dawn of man, "aliens" have been:
* Trespassing on land and aerospace
* Breaking into houses
* Kidnapping people and animals
* Torturing people and animals
* Conducting "experiments" on people and animals
* Providing misinformation
These so-called aliens sporadically appear to certain people in certain places (especially in isolated areas) during certain times, offer no explanation, and then disappear. They like to break into houses and kidnap people and animals, and then conduct experiments on them. And when they do talk to people they provide information that is incoherent, inaccurate, trivial, or incomplete. Some of their information may even contradict information given by other so-called aliens. They sometimes even get people to worship them, and then commit suicide (see [Heaven's Gate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven...gious_group%29)). Or they get people to create cults that contradict Christian doctrine (see [Mormonism](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormonism#Brief_history)). Or they appear to children and crowds of people as the Virgin Mary and some aerial phenomenon, and then contradict the teachings of Jesus (see [Miracle of the Sun](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_of_the_Sun)).
Despite the numerous flaws and evils of mankind, there still exist some who love and cherish animals. Some even devote their lives to helping animals. Are we to believe that there isn't a single alien who bears the same sentiment towards human beings? One would think that a civilization much more advanced than any human civilization would be considerably more empathetic and moral; thus, one would think that at least one of these aliens would help humanity in some tangible way: cancer, hunger, the common cold, etc. Some have straw-manned what I'm saying here by suggesting that I expect these so-called aliens to fix all of our problems, which may lead to a codependent relationship. That's not what I'm saying at all. To clarify, my argument is as follows:
