AH Problem?

For a long time, I have listened to people say "OMFG I BOUGHT #%&*(&#% FOR 10529570&U GILZ!!" and just sort of sighed in relief inside; glad that it wasn't me. I always figured, meh, I'm careful, I won't make that mistake. However, almost all the time the people say "OMFG I wasn't buying that item!" and I would just think, "be more careful". I was sure the AH system can't cheat you; can't falter - its a bug-checked program, after all. Well, last night I ruined my as-yet perfect AH record...

I now believe the people who say they bought something they weren't bidding on. I was trying to buy Genin Earring (AH price: 380k, I guess this is what I get for being cheap) and this is the result of it. I never left the Genin Earring page until after my final bid; I am not sure how this happened. I know this isn't ***100%% PROOF!!!*** because I don't have the little Genin earring symbol (I had to close AH to bring up chat window to screenshot) but I think the text speaks for itself... I never left Genin Earring page, dammit

I had just recently bought two for 80k /grumble

The good news (!) is that I sent a tell to the guy; 'Ukulele' is his name. JP player who seemed to speak very little english, but was MORE than happy to return my stuff. He even tried to find a way out of his XP party to trade me, before I told him I would just {delivery} the earring. I told him he could keep 40,000 {Reward}, but he said "{Auction House} {tax} ^^" and returned all of my gil but the (extremely acceptable) 5k to repost the earring on AH.

Still, I am convinced this was an AH glitch.
 
that earring is a few tabs from genin. inconcievable you lagged and tabbed up to it and bought it ?

Lag is possible... if you are scrolling through the menu. I had my cursor on Genin Earring the entire time (notice the other two are failed attempts to buy Genin) If I was moving around I'd understand; however, I was not.
