Landscapes only affect the caster. The circle Picto places acts like ley lines with Black Mage. I was kicked from a dungeon for not "placing landscapes in melee." Landscapes aren't for you. They're for the Picto. That is all.
Edit: Before you say that you have to be in the circle to get the damage buff, it's a 30y range on Starry Muse. The circle landscape isn't 30y.
