Let me preface this post by saying I have a lot of experience with MMORPGs and the Final Fantasy series.

But I'm only a level 54 Dragoon, so take this thread with a grain of salt.

My take away so far is that FFXIV is well-made and enjoyable. I look forward to the expansions and end-game content. I've been told by veteran players that this is when the game really takes off. I enjoy the game so much that I started a new tutorial series for FFXIV that focuses on difficult aspects of the game. https://youtu.be/d4MKdc3SixA

And as a bonus here is my friend's best equipment that he got from quests (he's new too): https://imgur.com/a/rFyRJ1H. Why does he look like a gay hooker?

So, yeah, I'm enjoying the gameplay, music, and writing thus far, but the flamboyant stuff is a little much.

Going into the future, I hope that Square Enix dials down the lameness.
