Whether you're blowing MP on Raises, having no mana from just being raised yourself, (or screwing up and using one too many Edge of Darknesses on DRK and now you can't TBN when you need it), having an instant 1800 MP can be very helpful.
I realize that Lucid Dreaming exists, but sometimes it's just not enough, (or you used it as part of your normal rotation and then died while it was heavily on CD).
Also relevant to BLUs, perhaps, as ethers have no level requirement, and 1800 is over half a Diamondback.
