Okay So I just started playing this game a few days ago And I have just gotten up to the end of the Titan quest line, and hooo boy. That made no sense.
I get the beginning portion where you talk to the wrong guy; yeah brief little comedy section. Fine.
But the running around section afterwards... that is just pants on head stupid. Now maybe I missed something in a cut scene. Maybe I missed something in the dialog. Heck, maybe something went missing in translation. But that made no sense from an in universe perspective.
---How i felt the entire time---
Character: Hey are you part of that group that Beat Titan last time?
NPC: Yeah.
C: Okay do you mind telling me how to get to him.
NPC: Well there is really important person coming so I need to set up for this banquet.
C: Melon Farmer. Maybe i wasn't being clear. Titan is back. I punch Ifrit in the face so hard he stopped existing. I'mma do the same to Titan's booty. I just need you to tell me how to get to him.
NPC: So yeah first this place needs to be cleaned up and I'm gonna send you on a grocery shopping run.
C: Okay. Just so we are clear here. You are not gonna tell me because of some banquet that wont mean diddly if Titan starts wreaking havoc? So you don't care how many people die, are diddled and have their lives and families ruined because of some banquet.
NPC: yeah so once your done here I'm gonna need you to head out to...
C: Okay all the blood and death are on your hands. Not mine. This is all on you.
***Finishes shopping***
NPC: Haha. the banquet is for you. We made a pact to never reveal the secret to getting to Titan if these arbitrary things were not met. Now I could tell you what you need to do, but instead I'm gonna send you to someone else and THEY will tell you.
C: I hope this pier burns down and all of you are on when it happens.
