(hopefully this is the right forum group for this, if not please feel free to move it)
To cut right to the chase, the latest trial and extreme trial have a problem that makes them either difficult to play, or near unplayable for certain players, unrelated to their system specifications or ping or etc: so many flashing lights.
Many of the mechanics and attacks in this fight are incredibly bright and flashy, which has resulted in (for me, personally) headaches and difficulty parsing how to resolve the mechanics or even see what is going on on-screen. The primary issue is in the blue spread AOEs and the various bloom attacks, in which the floor pattern changes to indicate safe and unsafe places to stand. The various blue AOEs are so bright and flashy to the point of causing eye strain and disorientation, resulting in failing to resolve mechanics for lack of ability to see what is going on. With the floor patterns, the lack of contrast between the safe and unsafe regions can lead to difficulty parsing which is which for some players, resulting in deaths or failing mechanics in ways that feel unfair to players.
Hopefully these issues will not be a complete nightmare to resolve, however they are a necessary fix as they limit a player's ability to properly experience content due to factors outside of their control. There is only so much that adjusting monitor brightness and contrast can resolve, and unfortunately a player making these adjustments does not truly solve the issues of visibility and photosensitivity in these fights, which is disappointing, because these pieces of content are otherwise enjoyable and challenging in a way that deserves to be accessible to all players, including those with photosensitivity disabilities.
Thank you.
