I apologize if this has already been explained and I missed or forgot it, but we know that Ardbert and his friends offered up their remaining life energy to help Hydaelyn stop the flood on the First. She purposefully left Ardbert out of that saying, "your time has not yet come." Did she know everything was going to happen the way it was? I\\'m assuming she could tell that we share a soul inherently, but also knew that we would need his and our souls to rejoin in order to be able to contain the light we\\'ve absorbed?
