I'd like to preface by saying that this is a separate issue from some of the 2nd dye slots of items being a bit boring or silly (buttons, aglets, tiny lights).
Some of the armours given 2nd dye slots in 7.3 are tremendously mismatched. Notable are two of the series rewards, the False Monarchy and Fierce Tyrant attires. As you can see in the picture (credit to MedicatedStoicism over on r/ffxiv), the second dye channel on the False Monarchy boots gives the armour a distinct trim, whilst on the gloves it ignores the trim entirely to dye the straps. It gets worse when you dye the torso, which ignores both the trim and any details to dye the cape and underclothes. This means that in a 5 item set, only the head and torso slots can be matched when dyed. The Fierce Tyrant set can be matched a little better, but the boots dye completely differently to the gloves. I'm told, though yet to confirm, that some of the armour bought for wolf marks has a similar problem.
It seems unlikely that anyone's "aesthetic sense", as we were asked to trust, is to make armour sets appear completely unrelated when dyed the same way. It looks as though each of the items had their second dye slot checked and approved independently with no one looking over the sets as a whole before shipping them. Please take another pass on the PvP gear. These are some of the nicest glamour sets in the game and people have been excited to see them made fully dyeable. It's a waste to have them look so messy.
