2 Star Mount Speed Still Worth It With Flying Coming To Arr In 5.3?

I've been doing my daily arr hunts and camping some fates in hopes of getting all the arr 2 star mount speed maps. With flying coming in 5.3, are these still worth getting? Have there been additional details on how to unlock flying?
