I'm fine with not going for the clear. A failed boss attempt means no chance for any interesting drops, and it's random (or even likely) that we won't win it. We're not even clearing Qufim, which is hard but at least somewhat in our control.
A clear would be nice, but a fail means no chance for those drops for another 3 months.
This is the last of the Dreamworld clears I need, so if possible I'd love the clear. But if we don't have the numbers I'm fine with just a farm. This place has denied every time we've tried since I've started coming along though so I'd really love to kick it's ass.
If we have enough I say that we go for the clear. Some people still need it and if we are successful then we can possibly start some Dynamis-Tav runs in the future without excluding anyone.
If we do fight Cirrate Christelle then I think we should try this strat for clear:
1. Have our 3 scouts go in first to pull the Nightmare Flies and bring them to the OP camp to unlock subjobs.
2. Skip Fairy Ring and make our way to the Secret Beach and defeat the Dragontraps so that we can prevent Cirrate Christelle from summoning the Nightmare Morbols. That way we don't need to worry about keeping the Morbols asleep and all can focus 100% on the MB, especially if we are short on numbers.
3. Quickly head to the Konschtat Highlands entrance and kill Nant'ina to disable/limit Cirrate Christelle' s Charmga usage. This isn't 100% necessary if we disable the Morbols and if Chainspell/Stun goes off without any issues, but the option is there if we want to be safe.
4. Head to Selbina and Zerg/ChainSpell stun the MB to defeat her.
If we are quick we could probably do all this in about 30-35 minutes. With TE from MB we'd have a good chunk of farming time left. We'd have to be on our toes to not aggro unnecessary mobs so that we don't waste any time, especially when pulling the Nightmare Flies and heading to the Dragontraps or Nant'ina. We have to kill only what is necessary until we clear the MB.
Also, I'm not sure if it's possible to have one person stay back somewhat to train the MB and the pops around the walls in case of a wipe, so that people can RR safely and move out of the way? Maybe someone with a mule with flee or something? I don't see anywhere that there is a Draw In attack or an alliance/complete zone Draw In attack like KV, but it might be an option that we employ to get people up so that we can keep farming with the remaining time left in case of a wipe.
Not sure if this a good strat or not. It's open for discussion or modification if anyone has any other input or info to contribute. In the end I'm all for getting people the clear and more farming time.
Since several do need clear, we will be trying for clear if we have enough people.
That sounds reasonable Megatron, I'll do some reading about Qufim clear strategies over the next couple weeks to see if there's anything else we can do to add to our chances of clearing.
You are both welcome to come with us. However, please be aware that we have been critically low on people lately. I know that the people we have will do their best to get this clear, but please do not think that our ability to clear is a given. I would be happy to help as many people as possible get a clear, but please be aware that we could use your help on other runs as well. I must admit it is somewhat discouraging to struggle through run after run because we have less than 20 people only to see that people are willing enough to come to get a clear.
P.S. We enter between 8 and 8:15 PM EST. So if all goes well we would still be in at 9:40.
